Reference, Instruction, and Outreach (RIO)

This was the first meeting of 2023 - it was held remotely on Zoom.

The participants discussed passive programs from their libraries (an activity that did not have a set time or place).

The passive programs of the Skidmore College Lucy Scribner Library were presented, as well as their self guided student tour. (slide shows available below). Programs also discussed included: a Self-guided Tour of Albany, Black History Month (focused on newspaper articles), a Schenectady County ABC Hunt (pictures of one from letter local signs that patrons had to identify), a Conspiracy Theory bulletin board, Poems in your Pocket, Book Bingo, a 2 sentence spooky story contest (students judged with stickers), Book Nominations (for what patrons would like to see written), Paint by the Numbers (using stickers), and a Literary Giant roleplaying game.
