Preservation Interest Group - Exhibits

Please note: This session will NOT be recorded.

Our focus for this meeting will be on exhibits. Ann Kearney will offer a brief presentation based on guidelines offered by the American Institute for Conservation, the American Alliance of Museums, and the National Park Service. She will emphasize practical solutions to the care-taking issues we face when exhibiting collections items in small institutions. The session will be interactive, with plenty of time for questions and comments.

About the Facilitator: Ann Kearney is the Collections Conservator at the University at Albany. She holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University at Albany, and studied bookbinding and paper conservation under a Fulbright Grant at Camberwell College of Art and Crafts in London, England. In addition, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing from the Cleveland Institute of Art, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rosemont College.
