To get started with LiNX, you first need to contact the CDLC office to receive a registration code. CDLC will not release the registration code publicly.

Once you have the code, head to the LiNX homepage at linx.cdlc.org.

After entering the registration code, choose a username. One recommendation is to use your first initial and last name or your work email address if it is unique to you.

Fill in the rest of your contact information, including your email, name, institution, work address, and phone number. You can also include your OCLC or Library of Congress codes if you know them. You can click on the links provided to see what your library's LOC and OCLC codes are in the ILL Directory. Choose your home library system from the drop-down menu. If you are an academic, hospital or special library, choose the library system Capital District Library Council.

Remember to click the box to accept the Terms of Agreement.

Once you've created your account, you will receive an email from CDLC informing you that your account approval is pending. Please allow CDLC 1-2 business days to respond to your account request. You will receive a second email confirming your account and providing you with a link to set your password.
