In 2008, CDLC unveiled a website of digital materials from several libraries, archives, historical societies, museums, and cultural organizations in the Capital District Library Council's region, covering Albany, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties of New York State.
In 2011, that website was merged with the websites of digital collections from the six Upstate New York ESLN Councils, to form New York Heritage. Material from the other three Councils can also be accessed through a portal site connected to New York Heritage. Many institutions have uploaded material to the site, with more being added every month.
A guide was created for CDLC's New York Heritage participants to house resource materials such as guidelines, help sheets, and video tutorials.
For more information about New York Heritage, including information on how to join, contact Susan D'Entremont, Project Manager. Questions about specific items included in this website should be directed to the institution that holds the item(s) in question.
