The premier issue of CDLC's Newsletter, distributed in November 1966, was titled "Newsletter No. 1." Like most serials, a name change was inevitable. In 1974 "The Newsletter" became "ReCap, The Newsletter of the Capital District Library Council." In September 2010 (Number 68), the name was changed to "ReCap Online, The Newsletter of the Capital District Library Council." The last issue of ReCap was published in the Fall of 2018 when it was replaced with "From the Director".
