IDS Project

IDS Project is a cooperative consisting of public and private libraries across the country. The goal of this consort is to "advance the sharing of library resources through collaboration, innovation, and efficiency." The main requirement for membership is a subscription to OCLC ILLiad Resource Sharing Management software. However, the annual conferences and FAQ guide provide useful resource sharing information for everyone.

Listservs and Online Groups

ILL-L
This listserv is hosted by OCLC. It is a discussion forum for ILL practitioners of all types. Typical posts include event, award, and job postings. Many also use it to request hard-to-find ILL materials.
OCLC-Sharing-L
This listserv provides announcements, changes and enhancements to OCLC resource sharing services.
DOCLINE-L Email Discussion List
This is an email discussion list for DOCLINE users available from the National Library of Medicine. It "provides a forum for DOCLINE users to communicate with each other about any issue related to DOCLINE or resource sharing among the greater biomedical library community."
Workflowtoolkit-l
This discussion list, hosted by the IDS project and open to all, includes posts on ILLiad best practices and workflows.
Liblicense Discussion Forum
A listserv to discuss copyright, licensing, and open access issues.
ALA Connect
A discussion board for RUSA STAR members related to issues relating to interlibrary loan, document delivery, etc.
ILLers; a FB Group For Interlibrary Loan Librarians
There is a closed Facebook group specifically for ILL practitioners. People regularly post ILL questions, announcements, and relevant news. Interested members can ask to join the group.
