CDLC Digital Collections

In 2008, CDLC unveiled a web site of digital materials from several libraries, archives, historical societies, museums and cultural organizations in the Capital District Library Council's region, covering Albany, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington counties of New York State.

In 2011, that web site was merged with the web sites of digital collections from the six Upstate New York Library and Reference Research Councils, to form New York Heritage. Material from the other three Councils can also be accessed through a portal site connected to NY Heritage. Many institutions have uploaded material to the site, and more is being added every month.

Questions about specific items included in this web site should be directed to the institution that holds the item(s) in question. The name of the holding institution and contact information can usually be found in the description of the item.
