Nearly every library in the United States provides access to the internet for on-site library users, but some libraries are enabling users to take the internet to-go. Come hear about the experiences of two public libraries with their Wi-Fi hotspot lending programs. The speakers will discuss the nuts and bolts of lending Wi-Fi hotspots including: service provider information, data usage, coverage area, circulation procedures, costs, patron response, and future plans. The presenters will share the benefits—and potential pitfalls—of Wi-Fi hotspot circulation applicable to public, school, and academic libraries in the region.

Scott C. Jarzombek is the Executive Director of Albany Public Library. He started his career with Albany Public Library as a grant funded digital literacy instructor and computer center coordinator.
