OCLC ILL Only Users Program
As a service to members, CDLC can help facilitate library participation in OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing. OCLC ILL Only allows libraries that are not full cataloging members of OCLC to participate in electronic resource sharing via WorldCat Resource Sharing.
Libraries using OCLC ILL Only can:
- Search the WorldCat database for needed material (61 million bibliographic records, with over 1 billion holdings)
- Identify potential lenders, check availability of material via links to holding libraries OPACS, check the ILL policies of potential lenders
- Place and track ILL requests electronically
- Receive and respond to requests electronically
- Participate in the state-wide reciprocal ILL group (ZERO)
- Participate in the nation-wide reciprocal ILL group (LVIS)
- Create groups of preferred lenders
- Create and maintain ILL policies
- Access ILL usage statistics
Libraries participating in OCLC ILL Only are billed via subscription pricing. Subscription pricing is based on previous usage of OCLC ILL. Libraries wishing a price quote, or more information on pricing should contact Marie Noonan at CDLC.
Members of CDLC and individual school and public libraries should contact CDLC if they wish to participate in OCLC ILL Only. Training is available through CDLC or Nylink.
