Event Description Eight historical subjects from the 1840's forward reflect the development of illustration to enhance printed words. Books, periodicals, and advertisements serve their public by furnishing visual instruction, entertainment, education, and "current" information of the day.

Type of Program A cultural exchange project celebrating Quebec's 400th Anniversary linking upstate New York, New England and Quebec artists and communities with music, dance, crafts, and food presented by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library at our guest host site: Hubbard Hall Projects, Cambridge, NY.

Event Description Librarian and Archivist Barbara Anderson will continue her previous preservation discussions by presenting the latest procedures for handling and storage of large documents. Hands-on work will include flattening rolled paper, paper repair, and preliminary mold removal.
